 I wasn't sure how the new job would affect my writing schedule - and aside from actual less writing time, it seems to be going pretty well. Just being out around people has been a good experience. As much as I love to watch people as they go about their business, now I also have the chance to interact as well. I can already sense character traits building up in my mind. For me, I create my characters around one telling attribute. Now, I should have a plethora of interesting traits in which to build. It's exciting to think about. And don't even get me started on the various personalities I've already come across. I really feel as if I have the best of both worlds now. During the day, I can socialize amongst people and observe, and during the later hours, I can lock myself away in solitude to create and write.
